October 3rd, 2009, this Saturday, I will be speaking for the ThrowYourVoice Conference at the okcCoCo.
I will be talking about Live Video Internet Streaming. I hope that you can make it! There are a lot of other great speakers talking about everything relating to the internet, including Blogging, Vlogging, Podcasting, New Media, and more!
“Lane will be discussing the many platforms for Live Internet Streaming, whether you are doing it from your home or on the go through a phone. He will discuss applications that that can be used to add effects and text live onto the Live feed. Also to be covered are the technical aspects of some of the most popular Live Streaming sites, and what you need to know to get your Live Video Feed Broadcasting out to the Internet.”
The Nintendo Wii is now $199! If you do not have a Wii, now it the time to BUY one!
With the Wii, you have access to a whole library of old school Nintendo games, Super Nintendo games, Nintendo 64 games, Sega games, Turbo Graphix 16 games and MORE!
I just realized that on the Photos page of your Flickr photos, there is a little “edit” button.
Just simply click that little “Edit” button, and picnik will load for you:
Picnik gives you some REALLY easy to use editing software right on the internet that you can use to tweak your photos to get them looking exactly how you want them to look!
Once you have your photo just the way you wanted it, just simply click save, and you can have it either replace your old photo on Flickr or it can create a new file!
Here is a before and after pics after I ran one of them through Picnik:

Have you ever used picnik before? Is so, what did you think? If not… Well Get There!
…and while you there, feel free to add me as a contact on Flickr!
September 22, 2009 was OneWebDay, where people from all over the world come together to share their love for the web. Cities where the OneWebDay came together included:
Austin, TX – Boston, MA – Portland, OR – Seattle, WA – Lafayette, LA (My Hometown)! – and MORE!
In Lafayette, LA, LUS (Lafayette Utilities System) has laid down fiber optics around the city, which will allow for up to 50Mbs internet connection speeds for Residential Internet for only 57.95/month according to their website.
There are a lot of big ideas in Lafayette in regards to this fiber optic network. For me, upload speeds like these would allow me to upload my videos in no time, while streaming live video to more than one website!
I had a great time listening to all of the great speaker at the event talking about the FUTURE of Lafayette and what Fiber Optics means for this city:
…and you cannot have a OneWebDay without a good ‘ole Lafayette, LA Cajun music to kick things off and to end the night!
