Storm Chasing with @storm_guy

May 15, 2009

Marc Hall, @storm_guy, is a professional storm chaser for a local news station in Oklahoma, and Friday we had some storms roll through town.

I went STORM CHASING with him! It was one of the things that I wanted to do before I left Oklahoma! Start the video around 4:28 to get to the storm chasing, or click here to go to that time.

Marc now has a LIVE feed from in his truck when he storm chases! He should be out tonight being that we are expecting rain. You can watch and chat with him here!

He was on a chase Thursday, and here is a picture that I captured from his video of some circulation!

Marc Hall has been fascinated by severe weather since he was a kid. In the early to mid 80s he would often be seen riding his bike across the neighborhood just to see the storms rolling in. Since that time, he’s been on numerous chases and logged thousands of miles. Marc is a lifelong Muskogee resident and works as assistant manager at Family Time Rentals. He is also an award winning filmmaker. Marc has been storm chasing for Channel 2 since 1999. You can reach Marc by email at or through his myspace.

Find Me!

February 22, 2009

What started out as a game between friends . . . becomes the only way to save a man’s life.

Paul Jump and his friend Neil Bartus are experts at GEO caching. GEO Caching is the sport of modern day treasure hunting. Participants hide Cache’s and upload clues to the Internet. The coordinates and clues are downloaded and the gamers attempt to find the hidden treasure. Paul and Neil have taken the game to a higher level.

During a support rally for the Senator Robert McIntosh, a very conservative right wing politician, a bomb is discharged and the Senator’s son Matthew is kidnapped. The kidnappers make it appear that they want a 20 million dollar ransom, but the truth is the Senator is instructed to drop his resistance against the bill and let it pass. If he does not, his son will die.

While out on the GEO Cache hunt Paul and Jess, thinking they are finding a clue left by Neal stumble across a clue left by the kidnapper. At this point they are sucked into the “Game” and must find Mathew or they will die.

This high-energy thriller will cause you to look deep inside and make you ask yourself what you believe and why you believe it?

If you like what you see, make sure to click the Facebook button below and become a FAN of the movie! Traqcy Trost did a fantastic job with the way the movie looks, and it is a great idea for a film. He would really appreciate it if you could give me him support by clicking the button!

Tulsa Drummer at Mayfest ’08

November 20, 2008

This drummer is AWESOME! He built his own homemade drum set out of whatever he could find!

He set up a bucket on the side of the drum kit for tips and started drumming at Mayfest! I must say that this was one of the better events/acts at Mayfest, and I feel bad that it took me this long to blog about it!

AWESOMENESS! Definitely Shiggity Shank-ness!

Here is the previous post from Mayfest where I had some video that I uploaded from my phone and some pics

Dr. Joel Robbins – Meeting #1

November 14, 2008

I started to see Dr. Joel Robbins in Tulsa, OK. He is more of a nutritionist doctor, then your typical drug doctor. He will sit down with you after doing a Urinalysis and explain to you what is going on in your body, and how your body is using it’s processes.

This is my first visit with Dr. Robbins about myself. We discuss many topics from hemmeroids to acne, and my liver to my adrenal glands.

I was also searching the internet to see what I could find on Dr. Robbins, of the Health and Wellness Clinic, and I found one of his audio CDs on Here is the first trace. Here is the first track.

If you want to listen to all of the first disc, go here.

The rest of this disc and other discs are available at his clinic. Simply call Teri at (918) 448-0444 and I’m sure she would be happy to supply you with his other audio products. Let them know that Lane sent you!

I think I’m going to go with the Airport Extreme. What do you think?

October 31, 2008

Ohh… the Halloween memories! I am an avid trick-or-treater every year. Of course when I was young, I had to go, but now that I am older, I find it amazing that people do not want to act like a kid and go trick-or-treating anymore. Now I will admit that during high school, I did not dress up, but about 6-7 years ago, I decided that I wanted to keep the kid in me alive, and I made my own Orko costume and went trick-or-treating by myself!

(If I could find the one picture that was taken of me by Karen Henry and Tim Greene, then it would be right here)

Then the next year, I again pulled out the glue, paper mache, trash cans, and piping and created my own MEGA MAN costume!

(Again, I had a hard copy of this pic, but it was never scanned. I need to find it, it goes here)

Then the year after that, I went as LINK from the Zelda games, and I’m sure that most of you guys have seen this costume, but just in case you haven’t, here it is:

My friend, Daniel Ballard, was the gardener from Desperate Housewives.

I had to take a year off because I had to work Halloween, that sucked! But the next year, last year, I went as a ZOMBIE:

For all of the zombie pics, click here.

So… what about this Halloween, I thought about being Samus from Metroid, but that would be too intense, and I don’t have enough time to make it. I thought about Doug Funny from Nickelodeon’s Doug, but I don’t think that a lot of people would know who I am.

I think I have decided to go as a Bum/Hobo. I’ll put some pics up on Flickr when I get into costume! Look for ’em!

If you watch my weekly me’s, then you would know that we went to the Haunted Castle in Muskogee the other weekend. It was really dark, and my video was black, so I just edited together everyone screaming! It is hilarious… you hear me and my wife laughing!

And just to keep the Halloween Spirit going, I found this video on YouTube. This guy created the entire Thriller song with his voice using 64 Tracks! AMAZING:

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Let me know what you dressed up as, and send me some pictures of you in your costume, or costumes past, and I will make a post out of everyone’s costume!

Ohh… and the SuperNote Experiment/Contest that Rhett and Link were putting on, ends today: Here’s mine! feel free to add yours!

Locard’s Principle – Hanger Scene & More

October 10, 2008

Well Jake Richardson’s film [myspace], Locard’s Principle, has it’s first scene edited! Jake is a OMM member and this is his first feature film!

We had a great time shooting this part of the film, except that I remember it being FREAKIN’ cold! We still had a good time. Not only was I in it, but I got to help out around the set, and you might remember this video/post I did with some of the behind the scene’s footage it took with my Flip Video Camera.

Here are some pics of the mental hospital shoot that we did about a month ago:

Locard's Principle main man, Cain House at locards's principle shoot

Samantha on locards's principle

We should have the Mental Hospital Scene edited soon. You might remember this video/post that I took a while back of one of the crazy guys in the hospital.

Here are some pics of the Park shoot we shot a few weeks back:

I’ll have some more video soon! Lots of behind the scenes from the mental hospital and the part need to be uploaded!

I am a HUGE fan of Birkenstock Sandals. I love their Arizona Suede! So, since I moved to Tulsa, I needed to find a good place to purchase a pair because Pack & Paddle in Lafayette, LA would be a little to far to drive.

Well these guys wanted $130 for my sandals, and I only wanted to pay $100, so I didn’t buy there.

Then I decided to check online, surly I could find something there, I started at, and that led me to Original Comfort Sandals. To my surprise, I found my Birkenstocks, the EXACT pair that I wanted for $87.95! (and this includes shipping)! I was THRILLED!

Scott Hillhouse brings you Life’s Little Gaps, winner of 15 film festival awards.

Brought to you by House Productions and OMM Films

Life’s Little Gaps

Evan (Brian Ross) is your ordinary six foot, two-hundred and fifty pound man in cricket pajamas. Some would call him “special”, others, “mentally handicapped.” Left with the mind of a child, Evan now faces his greatest challenge when Bill (Gary Olinghouse), his brother and guardian, is called into work in the middle of the night. Bill’s apprehension is evident as he leaves Evan in the supervision of Gary, (Matthew J. Christian).

To Bill, Gary is nothing more than a free-loader and bad influence on Evan. Though there is no love between Bill and Gary, Gary is Evan’s best friend. Together they set off on a night of “great moments”.

That is until an escaped fugitive seeks refuge in their home.

May 28, 2008

This past Saturday, a few friends of mine went out to Ken’s property and had some fun! We ate hot dogs over the campfire, made smores and hung out my Ken’s natural swimming hole!

We were trying to get fire going, and having trouble breaking big branches:

All in all it was great time!

HOUSE ROCKS! Check out House’s short, the Zoo.

March 4, 2008

My wife has been having some stomach problems, and we are tired of going back to the regular doctor on a monthly basis, so we decided to go to a Natural Doctor. The plan is to fix the problem and not to just suppress the symptoms!

February 9, 2008

Jesus Fish premiered in Tulsa back in January, and we had a great time.
