While my wife and I were in Louisiana for the Christmas holidays, we decided to go with our friends, Rachael and John, to New Orleans.
We had a great time! We stayed at the Ambassador Hotel, and we went walking through Jackson Square and the French Market. While we were in Jackson Square, we heard some Jazz music playing on the street, so we went to check it out… it was the NEW BIRTH BRASS BAND! They are AWESOME!!!
We also visited the new Audubon Insectarium (video coming soon), they they had some of the coolest stuff there.
Lots of bugs and insects to look at, and they had these amazing displays of artwork made from bugs:
You could also eat some Chocolate Chirp Cookies (cookies made with crickets), and other foods with different kinds of bugs and larva in them! They were surprisingly good. My wife and I ate them, but Rachael and John didn’t. BOOO!!!!
We also found piles and piles of money at the Old New Orleans Mint!
Needless to say, we had a great time in New Orleans!
Ohh… and we went and found some yummy goodness at a place called “Mother’s” right across the street from our hotel:
Have you ever been to New Orleans? What did you do?
I FINALLY got this video edited. This was from our fishing trip down in Cocodrie, LA when I was on my road trip with my wife this summer. We took a few days and went to my dad’s camp and caught some fish!!
Always having fun down on the Bayou!!! Anyone ever been to Cocodrie, LA? Leave me a comment in the comment section below, or on the Viddler Video.
