Good morning! It's about 8:30 in the morning, Krista's making some biscuits. My dad and sister went fishing, so hopefully, they'll catch something. My dad and I will go out later, and my sister may join us. It's not windy, which is an excellent sign that we can catch some fish.
After church, Krista and I left Amelia with Mimi because they need an onion, so we will stop at Piggly Wiggly to get one. When was the last time you went to a Piggly Wiggly? It's the only store in Chauvin, Louisiana. My dad and sister didn't catch anything this morning, so we're going to go back out and try again.
We caught five redfish and two trout, not terrible for the time we were out there. We went to three different spots. Two were dead, but then we went to a third spot where we caught all the fish. I can't really complain.
Happy 4th of July! There is a fireworks ban in Terrebonne Parish because the marsh is dry. You'd be in serious trouble if you catch the marsh on fire. Tomorrow, we will get up at 5:30 in the morning to go fishing again and then head back to Lafayette.
