Flying with Toddlers to Seattle, Washington

Our First Time Flying with Toddlers

The Travel Vlog Family

Amelia painted her toenails and fingernails for VloggerFair. She was so excited and had every right to be because she'd never been on a plane before.

We packed up, gave the cat some food and water, and cleaned out his bowl. We took out the trash, made some juice, and crossed a few other things off of our list. Then, we went to my mom's house so she could drive us to the airport.

Amelia was sad to put her toy panda through the security scanner. We explained to the kids that the captain would fly our plane and that they needed to buckle up. We looked out the window and could see the plane wing and some trees as we took off. Then, we reached the clouds.

Surprisingly, the plane went extremely well. It was very exciting to look out the window, opening and closing it. We had a great time. Jacques was a little nervous we took off and during turbulence. Krista doesn't like it either. After a while, he calmed down and started chewing on ice. Soon, we were back on the ground. We made it to Houston for our stopover safe and sound. It was nice to get some fresh air after a long plane ride.

Our second flight was delayed due to paint peeling on the aircraft. I'm unsure what that means but better safe than sorry. Jacques took a nap while we waited. Hopefully, we can get there sooner rather than later. We had an hour-long maintenance issue. It's been a long ride, but the kids were so good. They colored and played with stickers.

Once we landed in Seattle, we took an Uber to our hotel. We didn't have car seats, so we just held the kids tight. If you're ever in Seattle and have the Uber app, ride with them because they're awesome. Our car had nice leather seats, and the ride was super fast. The kids were exhausted when we arrived at the hotel due to the time difference, so it was time to hit the sack even though they took late naps on the plane. Our room was nice. It was small, but I liked the look of the colors and the wood.

We found a little place called Sports to get some sandwiches from. On the way, we noticed this area has a lot of trees. We got a chicken sandwich, some fries, and some pizza, and we brought dinner back to the hotel.

When the kids went to bed, I went to the VloggerFair party. I had a great time there, and I'll link some of the creators we connected with down below.
