We were staying at an AirBNB in Corpus Christi that was located between the beach and the downtown area where the Art Museum of South Texas is located, along with the USS Lexington and the Texas State Aquarium, among other things.
According to Google Maps it takes about 22 minutes to get from our AirBNB to the art museum.
With a mission to " promote education and appreciation of the arts," the museum has an impressive collection of contemporary and traditional pieces from Latin America, Europe and the United States. And with a location right on the water, it's also one of the most beautiful places to admire art in all of Texas.

The Art Museum of South Texas is an art museum in Corpus Christi, Texas. The museum was founded in 1971 and is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. It is one of the largest museums in the state of Texas and features a collection of over 3,000 works of art.

What time does the art museum open Corpus Christi?
What you need to know is that the Art Museum of South Texas is closed on Mondays. When we were planning our trip, we had to work around this. Otherwise Tuesday - Saturday they are open from 10am - 5pm and Sunday 1pm - 5pm.
When we went with our kids, we were there for about 2 hours. There are a lot of exhibits to explore, and our kids had fun picking out their favorite pieces of art.
