Your kids need breaks during the drive. Open Google Maps and find a green area nearby. That is usually a park!

This video is a city park in Alexandria, LA where the kids had a ton of fun running around on the playground, and it had a huge pavillion that we stopped at ate lunch under before continuing our road trip.

We have found some really neat places by doing this. We stumbled by a lake in Arkansas one time and had a picnic on a boat ramp. We found a National Historical Park and stayed there for 2 hours exploring.

Don't be focused on the destination. Focus on spending fun time with your kids in new places learning new thing.
